Team Bean/ Paid to Race Program

The new TEAM BEAN MULTISPORT TEAM is a group of individuals that enjoy challenging themselves in running, cycling, triathlon or any other discipline and wish to help make the world a better place.

GOAL - To raise the funds necesary to build a school in a disadvantaged country. We are exploring various options and once we have the funds we will be announcing our selection. As of August 5, 2010, we ahve raised over $1000 toward this cause.

ALL funds raised through the purchase of Bikes & Beans branded items go entirely to this cause. Right now we have jerseys, tri-tops, tri-suits, thermal cycling jackets, custom engraved headset caps in a variety of colors, and custom engraved chain keepers in a variety of colors. All B&B clothing is made in Canada, and the custom headset caps and chain keepers are made in the USA.

MEMBERSHIP DUES - Nothing, Nada, zilch, $0.

NEW - Due to popular demand you DO NOT need to own a bike from Bikes & Beans to GET PAID TO RACE. All you need is a Bikes & Beans jersey, tri-top or tri-suit, and to follow the application process below.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
We will continue with the Get Paid to Race Program in 2010. We are tentatively sticking with the 2009 program so Yes, you will get CASH just to race, as long as you comply with the below conditions. Since there is a budget in place in order to make it fair we will be accepting ALL applications at once and then calculating the awards. All applications must be received by September 30, 2010. If the budget looks like it will be exceded then awards will be distributed porportionately.

GET PAID TO RACE CRITERIA/CONDITIONS:
TRINB Race Series
1.) You must finish the race. Placings are not important.
2.) You must wear either a Bikes & Beans Jersey, Bikes & Beans Tri top or Bikes & Beans Trisuit in the bike and run portions of the race.
3.) You must enter "Bikes & Beans" under city on your registration form or when you register on-line so that Bikes & Beans appears on the Atlantic Chip timing results.

VELONB Race Series(Road/Mountain/Cyclocross/etc)
1.) You must finish the race.
2.) You must wear the Bikes & Beans Jersey in the race.
3.) You must have an annual Race License from VeloNB with Bikes & Beans listed as your team on your Race License or list Bikes & Beans on your day license.

RENUMERATION (ching-ching, "Show me the Money")
1.) Meeting the conditions listed above, you will automatically receive $5 for each race you complete.
2.) Additionally, if you are also racing on a bike you purchased from Bikes & Beans, you will receive an additional $25 per race.

ADDITIONALLY, if you are a member of the team your bike will be given the same priority as a Bike & Beans bike when it comes to tune-ups - very useful in peak repair times.
